Licensing and image credits

Website code. The code behind this website (scripts, templates and style sheets) is open source under the MIT licence.

Images and other media are not covered by the MIT licence. Each image is credited next to it, and its credit says what you may do with it:

  • “© … · CC BY 4.0”: you may reuse and adapt the image, also commercially, under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence: credit the people named and link to the licence.
  • “© …” with no licence: all rights reserved by the people or the lab named; please ask before reusing it.
  • No credit: its rights are not yet established; please ask before reusing it.

Third-party material – journal covers, publisher figures, and the logos of universities, funders and software projects – belongs to its owners and keeps their terms.

Visit statistics. This website counts visits with GoatCounter, a privacy-friendly service: it sets no cookies and stores no personal data. It records which pages are read, from which country and from which website a visitor arrived, so that the lab can see how the site is used.
