We are always happy to hear from motivated people who want to study how cells move, and to build the microscopy and image-analysis tools to do it.

We have no funded positions open at the moment. We welcome applications for fellowships with the Cell Migration Lab as host.

Postdoctoral researchers

Postdocs join us with their own fellowship. We help you choose a scheme, shape the project and write the application. The main options are:

• Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships (European Commission)
• EMBO Postdoctoral Fellowships
• Human Frontier Science Program fellowships
• Finnish foundations, such as the Sigrid Jusélius Foundation and the Finnish Cultural Foundation

PhD students

Doctoral researchers at Åbo Akademi University are admitted through its doctoral education, in our case the Doctoral Programme in Biosciences and Drug Research. Positions are advertised there when funding is available; you can also apply with your own funding.

Master’s students and interns

Master’s students can do their thesis project with us, for example within the Master’s Degree Programme in Biomedical Imaging at Åbo Akademi University and the University of Turku. Students from abroad can come for a research internship, for example with an Erasmus+ traineeship.

How to get in touch

Email Guillaume Jacquemet with:

1. your CV and a list of publications (if any);
2. a few lines on what you would like to work on, and why in our lab;
3. the fellowship or programme you plan to apply to, and its deadline;
4. the names of two referees.

For fellowships, please write at least two to three months before the deadline, so that we have time to develop the project together.
